Discussion and Exploration of Cubist Form – session one
What is cubism? When did this art movement and where did it
originate from? We will explore this
technique by experiencing it through Diego Rivera’s portraits in the cubist form
that we are going to view and discuss.
We also arranged a private studio for students
to work in after viewing the exhibit where they will participate in group
activities: such as painting each other’s portraits, life model drawing, still
life and observational sketching gesture sketching. This is a great camp for anyone to attend who
appreciates beauty of form, and experimenting of variety of techniques to
improve your personal style, and form.
